They say love finds you when you least expect it and while it may sound cliché, for Yas and I, this couldn’t be more true.  Just when dating had become useless, and San Francisco, a city barren for people that matched with what Yas and I had been looking for, a cold Friday night in February changed everything. A first date at mini golf, a mutually agreed upon decision hoping that competition would reveal the best of us, would be the start of our story.  While Juan talked endlessly and Yas couldn’t get a word in, there was enough chemistry there, to warrant a second date. After that second date, everything for us seemed to fall into place. It was a relationship that blossomed naturally, nothing felt forced or rushed, everything just felt right. It was if we were both searching for that last piece of the puzzle, and we found that missing piece in each other. It was odd to both of us to feel this happy, this good, in a relationship. It was a feeling we had always searched for but had not found until we found each other.  The newness of this feeling allowed us to let our relationship continue to grow organically, with no deadlines or expectations, just letting it flow, and have destiny take care of the rest. It was in doing so, that for two years we continued to grow and fall in love with one another, until we reached a point where we both realized, that we were both where we should have always been…together.  Seeing Charlie, our golden retriever, fall in love with Yas, throughout these two years, was added confirmation that this was a forever kind of love.  That’s why on December 30th 2024, we decided to say yes to that forever love, a love the began on that cold Friday night in San Francisco, and now will stand the test of time as husband and wife.
